GSA – Global Standard Air/Gas participated in HVAC KOREA 2023 held at COEX in SEOUL, KOREA from May 10 (Wed) to 12 (Fri), 2023.

The Korea Machinery Equipment Exhibition (HVAC KOREA) is the only general machinery equipment exhibition in Korea and is held annually.

This exhibition is hosted by the Korea Machinery & Equipment Construction Association, etc. and supervised by the Korea Equipment Technology Association and Messe EeSang. ​

​The main exhibited items are heating and cooling equipment, equipment, materials, sanitary equipment, firefighting equipment, special equipment, energy, and other specialized products.​

Inside the HVAC KOREA

It is the first time for our company to attend this exhibition. However, we thought that the reviews of the visitors who had attended this exhibition in the past were quite good, so we participated in this exhibition.

“Various designers and construction company employees visit, and technical exchanges between people in the industry are active”, “The quality of consultation is high due to the high ratio of facility managers among construction company employees”, “The level and interest of the visitors was high” There were many good reviews, such as “It was very helpful in promoting the brand and new products because I was able to meet many construction companies, architects, and designers,” and “It led to an increase in sales after participating in the exhibition.”

We participated in this exhibition with 4 booths (6M x 6M) and intensively promoted Combination Dryer, CO2 removal equipment, and DEOXO equipment.​

​CO2 removal equipment is a facility to remove moisture and CO2 contained in compressed air and can be used in various industries including semiconductors and fuel cells.​

​This substance, called carbon dioxide or CO2, is a gas produced when carbon or its compounds are completely burned or when living things breathe or ferment. It accounts for about 0.035% of the atmosphere. It is a gas that affects.

Living creatures, including human beings, decompose organic matter through respiration and obtain energy necessary for life, and carbon dioxide is also produced in this process! In addition to nitrogen and oxygen, the air we breathe also contains small amounts of carbon dioxide (CO2). Today, the CO2 concentration in the air around us is about 410 ppm.

While compressing the air with the compressor, no more CO2 is added, but neither is it removed. Compressed air therefore also contains a small amount of CO2. Small amounts of CO2 are not harmful for most compressed air applications.​

​However, some applications require ultra-dry, CO2-free air. In these applications, if the moisture and CO2 contained in the compressed air are not properly removed, the quality of the final product can be seriously compromised.

For example, CO2 negatively affects the life and quality of the chemical raw materials used in lithium battery cells.​

​In the industrial gas industry, when air is separated into nitrogen, oxygen and argon gases, the CO2 is frozen in the cold box of the air separation unit.​

​This can impede air-gas separation, resulting in production loss and downtime. Instruments in laboratory environments require purified air with maximum removal of moisture and CO2 to obtain stable and consistent measurement results.

As hydrogen is attracting attention as an alternative energy source, interest in methods for producing hydrogen is also growing.​

​Among the hydrogen production methods, the most widely used method is the use of by-product hydrogen, which separates and uses the hydrogen mixture gas generated in the petrochemical process.​

​There is a natural gas reforming method that produces hydrogen by decomposing natural gas into high-temperature/high-pressure steam. ​

​The natural gas reforming method is the most utilized method and has the advantage of being able to produce hydrogen inexpensively.Finally, there is a water electrolysis method in which water is electrolyzed to obtain hydrogen.

Since the purity of hydrogen has a great influence on the performance of fuel cells, etc., purification technology to obtain high-purity hydrogen is very important. The hydrogen dryer is a device that purifies hydrogen by removing oxygen contained in hydrogen in the form of moisture using a Pd (palladium) catalyst and an adsorbent.​

Hydrogen DEOXO equipment produced by our company is a device that removes oxygen and moisture contained in hydrogen, and was promoted targeting energy-related companies participating in this exhibition.​

During the exhibition, overseas buyers showed great interest in our company’s products.
